The skilled migration permanent residency visa is specifically designed to target migrants who have skills or outstanding abilities which will contribute to the Australian economy.

SKILLED MIGRATION

In recent years, skilled migration has accounted for more than 58% of all migration to Australia - a significant increase from just 29% in 1995-96. These levels are set to remain constant for the next four years.
